Our Veterinary Team at St. Francis Animal Clinic is here to provide the best veterinary care for your pets. Meet our veterinary team below!
Dr. Anna Skorobohacz, DVM
Dr. Meredith Murphy, DVM
Dr. Meredith began practicing in Halton and Waterloo Regions before partnering with Dr. Anna to join St. Francis Animal Clinic in 2021. Her desire for building and strengthening the human-animal bond developed during her adolescent years working at a petting zoo on a local apple farm. This laid the groundwork for so many of her life adventures which included: working with conservation teams in Botswana (Africa), studying endangered dolphins off the coast of China, and wrangling horses in the Colorado mountains. Dr. Murphy’s love for animals and their ability to vastly enrich the human experience is what drew her to a career in Veterinary medicine. She is proud to be a member of such a welcoming and inclusive team in a constantly diversifying community. In the hospital, you’ll likely meet Dr. Meredith in the exam room, where she enjoys internal medicine and working to keep your pet healthy.
Michelle, (Clinic Operations Manager, Registered Veterinary Technician)
Michelle is your ultimate cat fanatic. Whether it’s an actual cat or just cat-like decor, you will always find some sort of feline in each room of her house. If you bring in a new kitten, Michelle will be embarrassingly excited to be a part of your appointment. Michelle has a keen interest in the anesthesia portion of being an RVT. She loves to ensure your pet is safe and secure while undergoing surgery. Michelle also specializes in extreme reorganizing! …just ask the rest of the staff at St. Francis about her impressive skills! Outside of the hospital, you can find Michelle snuggling with one or all of her three cats, finding the next adventurous trail with her cattle dog, or simply looking for the next room in her house she can redecorate (without her husband noticing).
Natalie, (Client Service Manager)
Natalie is a vet clinic Guru. She is a master at her daily duties as a receptionist but also excels in animal handling from her educational background. Natalie also provides exceptional skills over the phone by comforting pet parents when their pet is sick. She provides peace of mind by determining whether your furry friends must be seen straight away or can be monitored at home until the next available appointment. Whether it is welcoming you as you enter the clinic or helping snuggle your pet for a procedure, Natalie will do so with a smile. Anyone who has a pet with allergies, Natalie can relate. She knows all about the time and effort it takes to maintain these pets. Her dog Chula has made it evidently clear Natalie will be living the hypoallergenic lifestyle for a long, long time.
Bonnie, (Veterinary Technician)
Bonnie is our St. Francis veteran. She has the answers to any clinic-related questions, whether it be a certain protocol or a missing item at the back of a cupboard. Bonnie has been through the trenches at St. Francis Animal Clinic and is truly a foundational member of our team. Every clinic needs a superhero and Bonnie is ours! She comes each day with her trusty sidekick Penny, her beloved Boston Terrier. Outside of the hospital, Bonnie loves traveling, having visited Egypt and Greece, with plans to visit many other places as soon as she can. At home, you may find her at the computer playing online games such as World of Warcraft. Stay on her good side or she may cast a spell on you!
Jen, (Registered Veterinary Technician)
Jen’s active lifestyle is evident in her love for hiking. She frequently explores the great outdoors with her two beloved dogs, Coco and Sheeba, who are always ready for the next adventure. Her furry family also includes a sweet kitty named Lily, who enjoys the comforts of home while Jen is out on her hikes.
In addition to her professional and recreational pursuits, Jen is a foodie with a particular fondness for pasta and Italian cuisine. She enjoys trying out new recipes and indulging in classic Italian dishes, making her an enthusiastic member of any dinner gathering.
Jen’s multifaceted interests and dedication to animal care make her an invaluable member of our veterinary clinic team. Her enthusiasm for life and her commitment to her work ensure that every pet she cares for receives the best possible treatment.
Sarah, (Client Service Representative)
Alex, (Client Service Representative)
Alex has a major soft spot for terriers and mystery mixed breed dogs, which is highly influenced by her beloved rescue “yorkie thing” Chewie.
When she’s not at the clinic, you can typically find Alex in a movie theatre seat with her husband and the biggest popcorn possible (and no, she doesn’t share!), or cozy on the couch with a video game controller in hand. She is also a huge baseball fan, and loves her Blue Jays and Phillies!
Alex has also lived a multi-talented life over the years. She has performed in several musical theatre productions, and recently received her 15-year tenure playing clarinet in a local concert band! She was also a two-time National semi-finalist in the Karaoke World Championships.
The next time you call or visit the clinic, Alex will be more than happy to assist you and your fluffy friends in any way she can!
Penny, St. Francis Patrol Officer
On your next visit to St. Francis, be sure to keep an eye out for a little Boston patrolling the hallways. Penny was originally just Bonnie’s fur baby (and sidekick), but she has now been officially hired as the St. Francis patrol officer. She ensures all patients, clients, and staff are always on their best behaviour. When Penny is off duty, she enjoys long walks—on the beach or otherwise—as well as keeping warm by basking in the sun or laying in front of the fireplace at home; however, she will settle for a nice knit blanket or a fashionable pink sweater if neither are available!
